HDFC Bank Parivartan's Educational Crisis Scholarship Support (ECSS) Programme is an initiative of HDFC Bank that aims to support meritorious and needy students belonging to underprivileged sections of society. The scholarship programme is meant for school students from Class 1 to 12 and those pursuing diploma, ITI, polytechnic,
UG and PG (general and professional) programmes. Under the ECSS programme, the students who are unable to bear the cost of education due to personal/family crises or any other financial problems and are at a risk of dropping out are provided with monetary assistance of up to INR 75,000 for their studies.
HDFC Bank’s social initiative ‘Parivartan’ has been a catalyst in making a difference in the lives of people through its interventions in the areas of rural development, education, skill development and livelihood enhancement, healthcare & hygiene and financial literacy.
NOTE: For those pursuing a Diploma course, only students pursuing a diploma after Class 12 are eligible to apply for the scholarship.
I do not have my current year’s admission fee receipt as I am unable to pay it for my B.Tech. (first-year) programme. How can I avail this scholarship?
Applicants must submit proof of their current year's admission to apply for this scholarship. If you do not have the fee receipt, you can submit the admission letter/admission confirmation letter to be considered for this scholarship.
I scored 53.4% marks in my Class 8 examination. Can I apply for this scholarship?No. You must score at least 55% marks in your qualifying examination to be eligible for this scholarship.
If selected, will I get this scholarship for subsequent years of studies?This scholarship is now available for multiple years for students pursuing Class 11 and above for their current educational level. It aims to provide ongoing academic support for our current scholars who continue to meet the eligibility criteria in the subsequent years. The Bank holds rights to change eligibility criteria at any point of time.

I passed my Class 12 examination in 2023 and after a gap year, I took admission in B.Tech (1st year). Can I apply for this scholarship?
Yes, you may apply for this scholarship provided you have your current year admission proof which ensures the continuity of your education after the gap year.
